“Nope I can’t. I’m just going to lie here in a smelly mess until they scoop me up or leave me here until the morning.” I stretched out, getting more comfortable to make my point. He straight out laughed and I couldn’t help the smile that over took my lips. I was laying it on thick and I knew it. He crawled toward me and leaned down so his head was close to mine. With his lips still in a teasing smile, he spoke.

“I’ll treat you to a smoothie and a special dinner tonight if you go cool off and clean up. Deal?” Oh, he did drive a hard bargain.

“How did you know I wanted a smoothie?” I narrowed my eyes. His head tilted and I found it pretty cute.

“It’s what I always want after a workout.” My little heart fluttered a bit.

“You’re a softy aren’t you, Arson Kade?” I teased. He was not the angry looking badass he had been. He looked almost youthful, free. A small part of me was hoping it was me that made him look that way.

“No Princess, I’m not a softy. You just bring out the gentleness in me. Only you.” He ran his fingers along the side of my face. As silly of me as it was, I kinda didn’t want to have a mushy romantic moment with him there with a lot of people around. I kinda wanted those to myself, to explore and immerse myself in, so I turned my head and nipped at his fingers.

“Naughty naughty princess.” He tsked. I found myself wanting to make him tsk me more, something about wanting to push his buttons. Maybe he will punish me. I could be a bad, bad girl.

His fingers moved and he pushed some stray hairs back toward my braid. When his hand was in reach, I licked him slowly. He groaned and I knew I was getting to him. Slowly I sat up, making him sit back as well. His eyes were burning holes into my skin, his gaze so hot.

“Deal, smoothie and dinner. I hope you’re a good cook.” I blew him a kiss and went off toward the treadmill to cool off my muscles. Although they already felt pretty relaxed, I knew I needed to run for at least twenty minutes. I watched as Arson sparred with another man while I ran. I wondered what he would make for dinner. Did him making me a special meal mean he would be coming over again? I hoped so; he’d said I could touch him later and I was dying to do just that. I wanted to feel him, drive him crazy like he did me.

As soon as my twenty minutes were up, I went into the bathroom and took my shower. A sigh of contentment rolled through my lips. I washed myself off and dried quickly. I remembered the last time I’d been drying and had gotten mauled so deliciously.

I looked over my jean shorts and short sleeve green shirt after getting dressed, then headed out in search of Arson. He was just packing up a small bag with a water bottle and a towel when I reached him.

“So what are the plans?” He took a swig of his water and placed it in the bag.

“You head home and I’ll bring over the smoothies after I run home and shower. I’ll grab fixings for dinner later. We can relax like normal people until then.” He shouldered his bag and waited for me to say something.

“Ok.” It was all I had.

“Ok. Be good Princess.” He winked and we walked over toward Coach’s office. I gripped my bag and set out for home.

  Chapter Nine

  The final KO

As soon as I got home I went straight for my bed, hoping I could get in a thirty minute nap or so before Arson got there. Before I could collapse on the bed, something on the floor caught my eye.

My poor, floppy, broken B.O.B. He was shattered and his jelly like penis was split. I bent down and grabbed him gently. We’d had some good times, but it was time to say goodbye. I had a real dick to play with now and would no longer be needing his services.

I walked into my kitchen and placed him in the garbage. I took a deep breath and accepted my thoughts to be true. I went back toward my bed and crawled in. I fell asleep quickly with dreams of a certain fighter’s junk. I was becoming a horny obsessed female.

“Wake up you little slut.” I slowly opened my eyes to see bright blue ones staring back at me.

“What the hell Cammy!” I groaned and closed my eyes, wanting more sleep. I was a napper and I liked my naps undisturbed.

“Oh no missy, you’re gonna wake up and tell me why I just let Mr. Tall, Dark, and Sexy as fuck into your apartment. It seems you have been leaving me out of the loop!” She talked fast in a hushed tone. I sat up quickly and heard someone moving around in my kitchen.

“Yeah, he arrived when I did. I was going to surprise you with some quality time with muah when he walked up behind me and introduced himself as your new boyfriend. When did you start dating Arson Kade?” Goodness Cammy’s mouth was moving a mile a minute. I focused my eyes on her and told her what I knew, which still wasn’t very much.

“I’m not really sure on the boyfriend part. He has kinda jumped head first into my life, and I’m just hanging on for the ride. He’s my new sparring partner. He rocked my world with two orgasms via finger fuck, and he better have brought me a smoothie.” My stomach growled at the thought. Before she could say anything, I added a little bit more information on the subject of Mr. Kade.

“No, we haven’t had sex yet. He says I’m not ready; I still have no idea what he is talking about so I have decided to see where this goes for now. He says I’m it and he is my future, but I just met him really and I just don’t know if he means it¸ ya know?

So I’m not investing my heart right now, just hopefully my vagina soon because she is craving some Arson cock.” I nodded, proud of myself for blurting that out there. Cammy was giving me the eye like she was trying to see inside my soul. I was always honest so there were no secrets hidden deep in there.

“He’s really hot,” she commented, breaking the tension.

“He is,” I agreed. He was extremely hot.

“He seems nice. I kinda rushed back here to wake your ass up, but he seems like a genuine guy.” She shrugged and stood up, holding her hand out to mine.

I grabbed it and she helped hoist me up onto my feet. We walked out of my room and into the kitchen. I let go of her hand and went to where Arson was placing items in my fridge. He looked all clean and sharp. His face was shaved and his clothes were dark, which seemed to be his usual. When his head came up and his gaze met mine, he smiled and I felt my heart melt a little. Every girl dreamed of having a guy look at them like that every time they entered the room.

“Hey,” I uttered, and as soon as I was in reach he swept me off my feet and laid a sweet but hard kiss on me.

“Hey,” he murmured against my lips. I smiled and kissed him one more time because I was just that greedy.

“Ok, no fair. I want one. Rayne! I want a sexy man to sweep me off my feet and kiss me in the kitchen!” Cammy whined from the barstool, her elbows holding her head up on the counter. She looked at us with sad puppy eyes, and my laughter bubbled up when I saw her facial expression.

“We’ll go pick you out one tomorrow, sweetie.” I did my best mommy voice and then it was their turn to laugh. It was nice to be surrounded laughter. Arson put me back on my feet and I took a step back so he could put the rest of the food he had brought over away.

“Here, I should have asked you what type of smoothie you liked, but I just got you what I normally get: strawberry, pineapple, coconut, and white chocolate—the ultimate smoothie.” He grinned and I took the cup. It sounded delicious. I wasn’t allergic to anything so he had no worries there, and I also pretty much loved all fruit. I guessed we had been a little distracted with each other before I’d left the gym.

“Sounds yum.” I took a sip through the straw and had a smoothie-gasm. It was divine. I heard a sigh from Cammy’s direction. She was eyeing my smoothie with longing on her face. Deciding to be the better friend, I walked over to my miscellaneous drawer and grabbed a straw for her instead of chugging the whole cup myself.

I kept a small box of them in there for when I made awesome shakes in the morning. You can’t have a shake without a bendy straw. I stuck it in and walked over to my bestie.

  She smiled and together
we made that smoothie our bitch. Arson watched us and shook his head with a smile. We were something, I would agree with him there. As soon as we were done, Cammy spoke.

“So what are you lovebirds up to today?” She looked at me, then at Arson. I didn’t have any plans. Arson had mentioned a relaxing day and damn if that didn’t sound good.

“Just gonna relax today. We had a good workout and relaxing sounds good,” he stated and I nodded. He’d read my mind.

“Nice, nice. Well, I will get out of your hair. Enjoy your relaxing day. Arson, nice to meet you. Rayne, call me tomorrow. We need to go get pedis.” She hopped off the stool and walked to the door.

“See ya bitches.” She waved and left after those charming parting words.

I was now alone with Arson, and I didn’t really know what to do.

“Relax, Princess. I won’t bite.” My eyebrow raised high—he did bite.

“At least not right now I won’t. I make no promises about later.” He winked and walked over toward my couch. Still throwing caution to the wind, I got up and went to sit down next to him.

His body was warm and I could feel it from where I was sitting two feet away. He grabbed the remote, turned on the TV, and started browsing through the channels. He settled on a movie I knew well, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. It was the perfect movie to relax to.

“I love this movie.” I sighed. He looked at me and opened his arms up. I knew what I was supposed to do, but I chose to do something completely different. Instead of cuddling up next to him, I swung my leg over his and straddled his hips.

“Tell me something deep, something most don’t know.” I looked over his face; he was so handsome, even with a few little scars from getting hit in the face that I hadn’t noticed before.

“Something deep. How about an exchange of information?” His hands moved to my hips and slowly settled me in deeper onto his lap. An exchange of information, I could do that. I wanted to know everything I could about this man.

“Sure.” I nodded. His face turned pensive, like he was really thinking of something to say and ask. I felt excitement coursing through me.

“I’m tired of fighting.” My jaw fell slack. Out of everything he could have said, that was not something I would have expected. Tired of fighting? He was currently the top fighter. Yes, he had been doing it for a while, but still, he was young.

“Seriously?” It was hard for me to soak that in. He nodded.

“I’ve been fighting for a long time. I just want more in life now than only MMA.” He shrugged. I guessed that was a normal thing to want, he just seemed like a guy that would be in it until he physically couldn’t anymore. Good for him.

“Are you thinking of doing something else?” I asked. He probably had plenty of money from the fights plus a few endorsements I knew he had. I couldn’t name them off the top of my head but I had seen him in a few things in passing.

“Ah, my turn, Princess.” He smiled and I tried to think of something to say, something deep. The only thing that came to mind was something I didn’t really want to share, but a part of me did.

“You scare me,” I whispered. His eyes held mine; a flash of hurt passed through them and I didn’t like that.

“Not physically. I know you would never. What you said I deserve is what I’ve always wanted. I’m scared because I feel like you could hurt me if you became that man and then took him away from me, decided you didn’t want me anymore.” It was out, and I actually felt better about it. Maybe if he wasn’t really into me that much, he would take his leave gracefully, but if he was serious, then he knew to tread lightly with my heart and not break me. His hand left my hip and went up to my chin. Slowly and gently he pulled me toward him until our faces were mere inches apart.

“I will never hurt you. You’re it Princess. The final KO.” I smiled at his analogy. The final KO, the final knockout. I wanted that to be true. I leaned in the rest of the way and kissed him. When our lips touched, I saw it all. A future with Arson would be amazing. I pulled back at the thought. I still barely knew him; I couldn’t be thinking futures with him now. Present. I needed to stay in the present. I folded my body over his, my head laying on his shoulder like a hug. His arms wrapped around me, holding me close. It was a nice feeling.

  “Your turn,” I prompted.

“Once I retire from fighting I want to open a dojo for kids.”

Aaaand my ovaries just exploded. He wanted to open a dojo for kids. For kids. Little ones.

Be still my heart if that didn’t make me want to throw myself at him. He was sweet. Out of everything I had learned about him, nothing was bad. He was sweet, hot, fun, amazing with his fingers, and kissed like a God. I pulled back and shook my head.

“Arson Kade is a big ol’ softy!” I laughed and was rewarded with his smile.

“You find me wanting to teach children funny Ms. Jackson?” he teased and I shook my head no.

“You are just nothing like what I thought you were.” His smile faltered and I wondered what I’d said that could have made him lose that smile.

“What’s wrong?” I wanted to know so I could make him smile again. He took a deep breath and spoke.

“I’m not a shining knight, Princess. I’ve done shit I’m not proud of. I’ve lived a life I wish I could forget. Make no mistake, I am not a soft man.” His voice held sadness, and I wondered if all of the things I had heard were true. I had already decided to see this through for now, so nothing would really make me change my mind, and I figured we should get some unpleasant questions out of the way.

  Chapter Ten

  Passion for Passion

“I need to know somethings. It won’t change my mind about you, I just want to know you, understand you.” I saw the unease written all over his face. I could tell he would answer me, even if he really didn’t want to.

“Ok,” he agreed, and his hand started rubbing my back lightly, comforting me.

“Are the rumors true? That you were, um, active, a lot.” I hoped he got my drift; I didn’t feel like saying the word manwhore.

“Yes,” he confirmed. I kept going.

“Um, when was the last time you, uh…did it?” I realized I might feel a little down if he said it was recently. I wouldn’t get off his lap, but I would feel a little blue.

“A year ago.” My face scrunched up in confusion. A year? He was a sexual guy; as far as I knew, they didn’t just up and quit sex for a whole year.

“It’s true. Next question.” Next question? He really expected me to move on after he told me he hadn’t had sex in a year? I mean, I’d had sex about six months before, but I didn’t put out easy, usually. Arson just made me want to jump in the sack right away. Poor man couldn’t help how he made my blood boil.

“Uh, I’ve lost the rest of my questions. Really a year?” I was still stunned. I couldn’t get past it. He chuckled at my obvious surprise.

“Yes, a year. I realized there were more important things I wanted, and that lifestyle was no longer for me.”

I was still stunned, but when he sat up and brought his lips to mine, the thoughts of celibacy slipped out of my mind and thoughts of fucking prevailed.

He pulled back and a little whimper followed him. I wasn’t ready for that kiss to be over.

“My turn.” My eyes narrowed at him but he just kept on going.

“How long has it been for you?”

“Six months,” I replied. Thinking back, it hadn’t been that great of sex anyway; I wished I could not count it.

“Why did it end?” Interesting question he asked. Why had it ended? That answer was actually pretty simple.

“Wasn’t a strong enough man. The sex wasn’t that great, and he was insecure about the fact that I could kick his ass.” I snorted. It was a common problem.

“What do you want out of life, Princess?” His voice was low and intrigued. I thought about what I wanted out of life. If my mother had taught me one thing, it was what life was about.

  “Passion
,” I stated. “Passion for my career, passion for my friends, my love life. Passion.”

He seemed to soak in my answer.

“Your passion is what drew me to you,” he admitted, making my heart soften toward him Passion for passion.

“All right, enough for now. Let’s relax and watch the movie,” he declared as he lifted me up and over his legs and placed me in his arms, resting my head on his chest. I could live with this.

I didn’t even realize how tired I was until Arson was waking me up from my second nap. My eyes slowly lifted and I looked up to see his face. I liked seeing him first thing when waking up.

“You snore,” he teased. I pulled back and smacked him lightly on the arm.

“Nuh uh!” I countered. Oh god I hoped I wasn’t a snorer. Cammy never complained, but then again she slept like the dead. Then I laughed at myself; Cammy was the only person I had slept with in a bed until the night before. I was living a sad love life.

“Penny for your thoughts?” I must have looked like a loon laughing like I was. I shook my head.

“I just realized how sad my love life is. The only person I’ve slept in a bed with in a long time is Cammy.” I kept on laughing, alone. I guessed it wasn’t that funny to him, but to me it was. I calmed down slowly and sat there biting my bottom lip.

“Ok, I’m done,” I stated while keeping a straight face.

“Sure?” He smiled, and I rolled my eyes, nodding.

I looked out the window to our right and saw it was getting dark outside. My eyes flew to the clock on the microwave. It was nearly dinner time. I had slept almost all day.

“Sorry I fell asleep on you. I’m not much entertainment I guess.”

“You were plenty entertaining actually. I’ve never heard such sounds come from a woman’s lips before.” His face lit up, teasing me and smiling big. It was on. I wasn’t sure what made me do it, but my hands flew up and poked him in the ribs, where most people were ticklish. His eyebrow raised at me like Really? And then he attacked. I was gently tackled to the floor and Arson tickled me like no one’s business. I laughed and hollered but he kept on going. Fighting in the octagon? No problem. Tickling me on the floor? I was helpless.
